The first Crew game failed on several fronts, but despite its failures, Ubisoft decided to give us another one. However, this time, you're not limited to cars – you can compete in multiple disciplines of motorsport, including aerobatics, all-terrain and even boating, with the goal of mastering them all.

with a very thin story line, which you can ignore most of the time, jumping in front. All you need to know from the story is that you can win the game not only by playing through his races, but also by performing crazy stunts for points. All of this is possible because the main motto for moving forward in the game is that of the followers. Followers always watch you through some series called Live and you can accumulate fans just about anything. They are not fickle like regular fans either; Once you have earned them, they stay for the ride. You have access to the entire map of America right from the start, although events are only unlocked when your popularity increases and you unlock other disciplines.

There are usually four categories of motorsport in The Crew 2. The street involves street racing, drifting, drag challenges and hypercars events. Offroad, as you can imagine involves rally raid, motocross and cross rally. Pro Racing allows you to race between motorboats, pbadenger cars, planes and F1 cars. The most fun of the four is Freestyle, which involves aerobatics, jet sprints and monster trucks. We spend most of our time facing aerial challenges and the monster truck. The big part of this game is that you really do not need to participate in anything if you do not want it and that gives you the freedom to just get around the cards.

Although there are some serious kinds of motorsport here, they are all very accessible through arcade-like vehicle control. With a little practice, you can master any vehicle in the game in minutes. Unfortunately, this does not mean that it can help you win races, and it has nothing to do with your driving skills. The game is very ruthless and allows the AI to catch up behind you no matter how far ahead you are and no matter the level of your vehicle. It was a problem in the first game and it's still a problem here. We lost a lot of matches against lower quality cars simply because we left the turn in the wrong way. This is very unfair and some matches with a lot of twists and turns involving trees or immovable objects can be very frustrating.

Race cards, however, are very nuanced – if you spend your time learning them – and have some tips and shortcuts in their sleeves. This can help your car take advantage and go ahead. Multiple playthroughs on one card can set them up and prepare you for real opponents. The game also has an RPG element, all vehicles can be updated with coins won in the race or by finding a box of loot Live. The Crew 2 is great if you do not have agenda in mind; just play as it comes and the game will not disappoint. If you are, however, looking for something more serious, it may not be the game.
