The deterioration of basic grain yields has pushed up the purchase prices of soft wheat, barley and sunflower in our country. In the third week of July wheat was bought at 279 leva per ton. On July 11th of this year, the price rose by nearly 7% to 293 leva per ton, and a week later it rose by 2% to 298 leva per ton. This shows the operational data of the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Forestry (MAF).
The price movement of barley is similar. During the second half of last July, it was 247 BGN per ton. In the middle of this month, its value rose 13 percent to 279 leva per tonne on average, and just over $ 280 per ton rose in the last week. Experts note that in this month, the dynamics of the purchase price of sunflower is the largest. In July of last year, it was more expensive – 613 leva per ton. In the middle of this month, its price was 560 leva per ton, only a week rose by nearly 8 percent to 603 leva per ton
After last week's price appreciation last week increased prices for all Global grain markets, reported at Sofia Stock Exchange AD. In Chicago, wheat rose 11 dollars to reach a record high for the season of 226 dollars per ton, in France with 20 euros to 209 euros per ton. Apples are cheaper by 7.1% and sold at 1.45 BGN per kg. Apricots are traded at 1.92 cents per pound, and peaches are cheaper at 4.2% to 1.15 leva per kilogram. Cheese cheese is cheaper by 1.7% and exchange at 5,90 leva for the kg, the yellow cheese, type Vitosha, is bought at 9,94 leva per kilogram and the oil at 1,96 leva per liter. The price of ground meat is 0.7% and is traded at 4.47 BGN per kg. 125 g of cow butter is exchanged for 2,33 leva, frozen meat is cheaper by 0,3 per cent at 3,94 leva per kg.
