H and for the second year in a row, Korean brands dominate the quality survey conducted by the US agency J.D. Power

The top is occupied by Genesis (Hyundai-Kia's luxury brand), whose models report the least defects during the first 90 days following the purchase of the car: 63 problems for 100 cars. This is much less than the industry average with 93 problems for 100 cars.

Along with Genesis, Kia and Hyundai are among the mbades, giving respectively 70 and 71 defects for 100 cars. The top 5 is completed by Ford (83 PP100) and Lincoln (84 PP100).

While Koreans are at the top of the ranking, it is important for Americans that Aboriginal brands behave very well. Two are in the top 5, and Chevrolet (85 PP100), Dodge (90 PP100) and Buick (92 PP100) perform better than the industry average.

At the opposite pole are the German marks. Mercedes (94 PP100) and Porsche (96 PP100) are slightly below the industry average, while BMW (102 PP110), Audi (106 PP100), MINI (107 PP100) and Volkswagen (113 PP100) are down in the rankings.

But although far below expectations, they are not at the bottom of the list. This "honor" comes from the Jaguar (130 PP100), finishing after the Land Rover subsidiary with 123 problems per 100. In front of them are Mitsubishi (121), Alfa Romeo (118) and Volvo (114).

In terms of individual models, the Porsche 911 is the most reliable car (at least for the first 90 days following the purchase) with only 58 defects. The other winners are Kia Rio, BMW 2 Series, Kia Forte and MINI Cooper, Genesis G70, Chevrolet Malibu, Ford Fusion, Dodge Challenger, Nissan Maxima and Mercedes CLS.

In terms of crossover, Chevrolet Equinox, Chevrolet Tahoe, Kia Sportage and Hyundai Santa Fe are the leaders. The award-winning luxury models are the BMW X4, Lexus RX and Cadillac Escalade.

In the investigation, cars of 32 brands came. Of these, 13 improved their performance compared to last year 's report, but 18 have worsened it. This has maintained the industry average setting of 93 defects per 100 vehicles, the first year since 2004 without any improvement.

In the statement of JD Power indicates that manufacturers continue to develop the Info-Entertainment system, which continues to attract customers, but that the problems of painting, braking, suspension, engine start and air-conditioning are the main problems. Frequent inclusion of the "Check engine" witness continue to worsen indicators.
