A Lebanese citizen was sentenced to 11 years in prison in Egypt for allegedly inflicting offenses on the Egyptian people in an online video, a DPA report reported, referring to Al Ahram newspaper.

In the 10-minute video, Mona Mazbuch complains of being badually abused on the streets of Cairo, where she was on vacation. She calls the Egyptians "the dirtiest people" and Egypt "the land of pimps who sell their wives for bad". Mazbuh adds that she stole her money and cell phones during her previous residency in Egypt. She also said the Egyptians deserved "what President Abdel Fatah does with Sissy," an indication of the country's dire economic conditions.

Subsequently, the Lebanese has posted another video on the internet, apologizing that she does not want to affect all Egyptians, but only separate groups. She was arrested in May at an airport before leaving Egypt, reported the DPA agency. The verdict against Mona Mazbuh is subject to appeal, notes Al-Ahram.
