Notch aside, the visual profile of the LG G7 gives the impression that it is sometimes almost impossible to distinguish it from that of the G6. The device has a notch, but if you're not a fan, you can still hide it by obscuring the top edges of the screen. The G7 ThinQ also features a superb Super Bright rocker that you can activate when needed and a permanent display, which is always a welcome inclusion.
The last thing to mention here is the headphone jack. Unlike many other flagship smartphones, LG has continued to hold on their 3.5mm headphone jack. In fact, they doubled the inherited functionality by integrating it with a 32-bit Quad HiFi DAC.
It's not really a new feature – it's been present on LG's latest G-series and V-series smartphones – but if you're the kind to worry about of your needs, this particular specification, LG are pretty much the only major supplier of the device that offers it. Take it or leave it
