Without Meryl, without a Greek island without the greatest hits
36 years after the collapse of ABBA, they seem more relevant than ever. "Mamma Mia!" – The musical comedy created by Bjorn Ulveus and Benny Andersson in 1999 continues to triumph on the stages of the world; this week was even his first at the Sofia Opera in Bulgarian. The movie "Mamma Mia!" cinemas ran in 2008 – instead of Merry Streep, Julie Walters and Christine Barrancy instead of Agne and Anneph, and instead of Bjorn and Benny, Colin Firth, Pierce Brosnan and Stellan Skarsgard, and reported $ 600 million worth of ticket receipts. He has spectacularly placed the small Greek island of Skopelos (in the role of fictitious Calokeri – translated from "summer") on the map of world tourist destinations, and in the summer cinema of the neighboring Skiathos he turns every summer season from when and does not seem to be tired of tourists. The DVD is the UK's best-selling film for all time.
But it's time for something new: the Swedish quartet split forever has come together to record two new songs, and Hollywood has exploded a whole new sequel. "Mamma Mia !: Again Together" is conceived as a typical conspiracy of greedy producers: it's both a sequel and a prequel. How – do not ask, the script is not among its strongest. The first film was an irresistibly playful halter, submerged with sugar syrup and idyllic landscapes and played by great actors; the second is not all of these things.
He promises to recollect the stars of the original, but Streep appears in the last 15 minutes for two or three songs, and Firth and Skarsgard – one or two performances earlier. And we came to the cinema to listen to ABBA's hits, but all the legendary buddies like Dancing Queen, SOS, Take A Chance on me, Want You, Money Money Money, The winner takes everything and, of course, the title Mamma Mia! (in total more than 20) had already been shot in the first part. So for the second, which Bjorn and Benny originally withdrew, and then did not resist check-ups, there were mostly B's. There is a reason why when I kissed the teacher, kissing fire, Angeleyes, and why I was not myself, I did not become hits like above and n & rsquo; I have not pbaded the time control.
Aside from the fact that Meryl Streep only exists in 90% of cases, there are no Greek islands in the film. Filmed this time on Croatian Viss, "Mamma Mia! 2" hangs in time and space somewhere in the Mediterranean – local characters have names with Italian and Spanish sounds, and in English hippie countries Saxons in Charles trousers (although the year is 1979, and not 1969-a) break down Wild West's characteristic rodeo stones to eradicate the last remnants of authenticity.
Director and screenwriter is All Parker, known to the "Most Exotic Hotel Marigold". While the first film explored how the heroes of Donna's past (Streep) had an effect on her already grown daughter (Amanda Seyfried), the second one moved in two directions. Nowadays, Sayfried slowly looks down at the dock on his secluded island, where he tries to rebuild and open his grandmother's ex-holiday with a big party. Storms and tribulations help Pierce Brosnan, who – thank God – do not this time bend solo nights like a dove. The other two "fathers" do not indicate that they will arrive at the party
In parallel retrospective history, Donna shows us a girl who gives up the hat and diploma and gives up adventures with three boys on an icy Greek island. Her role as a girl plays the laughable Lily James (Cinderella), which turns out to be a surprisingly thin singer. In the skins of Julie Walters and Christine Baranski, thirty years earlier, Alexa Davis and Jessica Keenan Wynn were pushing, and the latter managed to get 100% resemblance to the senior prototype. The roles of the young … pale teenagers who can not wait to get away from the screen and make way for Firth and Skarsgard. When these last two appear finally, the spectator bored already seriously despite the skilful choreography of some of the musical performances and two or three laffs by Andy Garcia.
The solemn finale manages to clear the impressions of the first hour and a half. In some settings, the inevitable Merrill comes in, and the famous "surprise" is that of the veteran Cher acting like his mother, Seyfried's grandmother and grandmother of the future baby. Grandma Cher loves Lady Gaga's most eccentric aunt with her platinum beads, endless heels and taut face, but still brings a stream of freshness into the franchise. In the most energetic part of the film, some songs from the first part – Dancing Queen, Waterloo and the inevitable Mamma Mia! – are repeated because – as it was already clear – the successes of the second were not meant to stay in the warehouse. Still, if you're a fan of ABBA and you have bbadities in the plot, "Mamma Mia: Again Together" brings the expected summer load and good mood. Like nothing, they will also decide to shoot "Mamma 3."

MANIA
ABBA's obsession is so ubiquitous that even the "Odeon" cinema has released the archives of the four Swedish quads. The following week, ABBA – The Movie – a Swedish-Australian documentary production starring the group at the peak of its glory in 1977, was shot by Lbade Halstrom (later in the feature film "Why Gravy Gilbert Grape" "The Rules of the house "and" chocolate "). The contribution of Bulgarian fans to the program is "ABBA P.S." directors Georgi Toshev and Yavor Veselinov from 2015
