The Montenegrin government has proposed to launch an "economic" citizenship program from 1 October. This is reported in a press release issued after the results of the 87th Session of the Cabinet
The program involves the possibility of obtaining a pbadport in Montenegro in exchange for investment in the country's economy
Up to now, there are two possibilities for getting Montenegro. Citizenship: an investment of $ 250,000 in the underdeveloped regions of the country or € 450,000 in the developed regions. In this case, the investment projects must first be approved by the Cabinet.
At the same time, the Montenegrin government will also charge EUR 100,000 to apply for citizenship in this way
The authorities hope that the new measures will make Montenegro more attractive for foreign investment
