David Solomon will be the new CEO of the US investment bank Goldman Sachs. He will inherit Lloyd Blankfein, 63, who retired after 12 years at the head of the financial institution. Currently Solomon, 56, is Chief Operating Officer of the bank. He will take his new role from October 1st. Blankfein will remain chairman of the board of directors until the end of the year and then will become chief president of BBC.
Solomon was already considered the most likely potential successor of Blankfein, led by Goldman, in March, after his main rival. Harvey Schwarz announced his resignation. The new general manager is a big wine collector and often brings wine from his own winery to restaurants, says the BBC. A curious fact about him is that he is an electronic music fan and sometimes takes the role of a DJ under the pseudonym D-Sol, playing at parties in Los Angeles, Miami and the Bahamas [19659004] <img src = "http://www.capital.bg/shimg/zx620y348_3284002.jpg" border = "0" alt = "DJ D-Sol behind the Party Dance console in New York" title = "DJ D- Ground Behind the New York Party Party "1966
