Oil, which fell sharply last week, has continued to fall today, the French press reported.

The agency notes that investors remain skeptical about OPEC's promise to reduce yields and worry about the economic turmoil.

On the New York Mercantile Exchange, the light US crude whose deliveries were delivered in February dropped $ 3.06, or 6.7%, to $ 42.53 a barrel, its price on lowest recorded last June, says BTA.

In London, North Sea brent varieties, delivered in February, lost $ 3.35 or 6.2% to $ 50.47 per barrel, their lowest level since August 2017.

US light crude and Brent crude fell 44% and 41% respectively in October. Last week, they lost 11.4% and 10.7% of their value, notes the press.
