Pavlova: The Presidency united the administration and the institutions

The Presidency brought together the administration and institutions. I believe that Bulgaria will remember that we have preserved unity, we have teamed up and worked deliberately for the success of the presidency. Behind the figures are the actual efforts of 1,550 experts from 35 Bulgarian institutions and 150 volunteers. They were behind the scenes, but they coordinated and worked tirelessly on the organization, security, and smooth running of the calendar events. Here is what Pavlova wrote:

This conclusion came at the end of the Bulgarian presidency during the public debate "The EU in 2018: Austrian priorities and Bulgarian achievements" traditionally held by each rotating presidency on the new priorities of the Council of the EU. The most important thing that the Bulgarian presidency has shown is that there can be only one European Union if the Western Balkans are not there. Among our main achievements are the Summit, which started many important events – the accession negotiations of Macedonia and Albania, the dialogue between the leaders of the region in the field of security and security. migration, 11 funds to launch a digital agenda for the Western Balkans, the first EU defense capabilities program, progress in the fight against terrorism, etc.

During our presidency, much has been done on our main agenda Renon – young people. We managed to adopt the European Development Strategy to help 50,000 young people to improve their skills

One of our greatest pride is the social pillars – we have succeeded on three very important topics that n? have not been successful for years – equal pay, coordination of social security systems and the balance between work and private life. In our stability and security priority, we have contributed to improving border management and migration, improving the security system 39, Schengen information, the ETIAS system of authorization with regard to the fight against terrorism, the control of money, we have concluded key agreements for the completion of the Union of energy and its governance in the field of energy security

A giant Europe and future skills – On 1 January 2018, the Presidency succeeded 13 pieces of legislation on Europe including 9 closed files or a common approach to the Council. Here is what our six months look like: of the 105 legislative files inherited from the Estonian presidency on January 1, 78 were completed by the Bulgaria with agreements concluded in the Council or with the European Parliament. More than 36,000 delegates and more than 4,700 journalists visited our country. They arrived for 284 events, 12 informal councils and 5 parliamentary dimension meetings. There were 101 meetings of the EU Council and 1523 workshops and other meetings with more than 94 000 participants in Brussels and Luxembourg. The presidency has 18,000 subscribers on the facebook, 10,000 by tweeter and 1,300 in an installation. There were 300 videos and 5,000 photos viewed over 2.5 million times on the internet and social networks

We raised the bar and with a proud head we can say that we succeeded because we were able to apply our motto "The unit makes the power". I hope to continue together to meet the challenges facing Europe
