The Serbian economy is in a very good condition, with the average salary in the country before that of Bulgaria, and the next target is the levels in Romania and Hungary. That's what Serbian President Alexander Vukic told reporters during his visit to a renovated emergency center in Belgrade, according to Tanjug.
"Today, the average salary is about 424 euros. If you compare to 2002, when the average salary of Croatia was about 700 euros, and in Serbia – only 146 , the difference was greatly melted, soon the average salary will be about 465 euros. We are distinguished by the rest of the region not only in terms of growth but also in absolute terms. We have left Bulgaria and Bosnia -Herzegovina, Albania and Macedonia behind us.Then Romania and Hungary, "said Vucic.
His statement is puzzling because the average salary in Bulgaria in the first quarter of the year, according to INS data, is 1077 leva or a little over 550 euros. In addition, the latest statistics available for Serbian statistics from April are for an average salary of 416 €.
Looking at the districts, however, in the following places in our country the remuneration is below average for our western neighbor: Vidin, Montana, Silistra, Targovishte, Sliven, Blagoevgrad, Kyustendil, Kardjali, Pazardjik, Smolyan and Haskovo . Only in Sofia-city the wages are considerably above the average of 744.
Similar imbalances, however, can be observed in the distribution of the average salary in Serbia in 2017. There, the region of Belgrade dominates all the Remainder (and especially Sofia) In areas where wages are almost half as high as in the capital, Vucic's comments have another projection: opposition in the country is talking about more and more reunification and 39, early elections. The President has repeatedly stressed that Serbia is in a stable state and no new votes are needed
