SAN MATEO, California – (Business Wire) – Roblox
announced today the details of the company's fourth annual developer Roblox
Conference (DRC), which will take place from July 13 to 15 in San Francisco, California. Roblox
now has a global community of over four million creators with active
experiments on the platform, more than twice the size of last year. More than
11 million experiments were created by this community in 2017 alone,
bringing the total number on the platform above 40 million. The creator
community is also on track to earn more than $ 70 million in 2018, more than
twice what he won last year.
This year's invitation-only conference is expected to double in size.
Participants will hear the best veterans of the gaming industry and Roblox
executives, who will share their expertise and outline new programs and
tools designed to help creators build sophisticated, immersive
experiences using Roblox Studio. The event starts later this weekend
and is ready to welcome Kristian Segerstrale, CEO of Super Evil Megacorp
and co-founder of Glu Mobile and Playfish, as a keynote speaker.

Also this summer, more than 500 coding camps and online programs in the

use Roblox Studio to teach young creators the fundamentals of codification,
game design, digital citizenship and entrepreneurial skills. Roblox
Studio is free to download, allowing creators of all levels to
learn to build, publish and market their own titles on the Roblox
Platform. Roblox offers free hosting for experiments built on the
platform, making it an easily accessible tool for individual developers
and similar schools. Each summer camp offers personalized courses
a variety of different subjects and skills, like iD Tech's
Roblox Entrepreneur, a course that builds on Roblox's learnings

In addition, the company also announced today that it has hosted
Enrico D'Angelo as vice president of product, development platform.
D'Angelo will guide the strategy of the company's development platform to pursue
Empower creators when they build an immersive and multiplatform virtual environment
experiences that reach tens of millions of players around the world.
Enrico joins Roblox at Activision Publishing, where he directed
PC and Mobile product teams free and launched a record
games, including Call of Duty Online and Call of Duty: Heroes .
He will be one of the many Roblox executives present at the RDC this year
San Francisco.
Scheduled for later this summer, the company will also host its summit
developers based in Europe at its international RDC, taking place in
Amsterdam, The Netherlands, August 17-19, 2018.
