Megadeth metal legends singer and guitarist Dave Mustain fights throat cancer. He himself has confirmed the news with messages of social networks.
Although the disease is more than serious, Mustain is optimistic about its future recovery.
"I've already encountered obstacles, I work with my doctors and we already have a treatment plan, they feel that the chances of success are 90%," said the musician, who quickly managed to gather a lot of wishes for fans and colleagues to run away quickly.
Due to Mustain's disease, Megadeth has delayed their upcoming concert dates.
Dave Mustain is a former member of Metallica, where he played between 1981 and 1983. He left the band and founded other future legends – Megadeth. The group has been nominated 12 times for the Grammy Award and receives in 2017 a statue in the category "Best Metal Performance" for the song "Dystopia".
The band has sold more than 38 million albums worldwide.
Despite the illness, Dave confirmed in his message that he and other Megadeth members continued to work hard in the studio, recording the rest of their 15th studio album, also called Dystopia. "I can not wait for everyone to hear that," Mustang wrote.
