Stolichanka has opened about 6 square meters of yellow paving stones in the courtyard of his newly acquired property in the Geo Milev district. The woman contacted the Sofia municipality and announced the discovery, Deputy Mayor Doncho Barbalov told his Facebook account.
A team from the municipal company "Sofnvest" immediately went to the address to retrieve the yellow pavers, which were declared cultural heritage.
"We are grateful for the responsibility he attaches to the precious ceramic blocks and, at his wish, we do not communicate his name," Barbalov added.
According to historians, sidewalks were imported from Austria-Hungary in the early years of the twentieth century. In 1907 and 1908, the Boulevard "Tsar Osvoboditel" and the square in front of the National Assembly were extended with them.
The yellow pavers, which over the past 110 years have been replaced by other types of flooring in some areas, are retained by the municipal corporation for use in downtown repair.
Until now, no company in our country has produced ceramic blocks of such durability and such a color.
