AMD will launch a lower power slash (more power) AMD Ryzen 7 2700E. This eight-core proc would get a fairly soft TDP 45 Watt, which obviously means that it has a lower base clock and lowered turbos. The processors surfaced in the database 3DMark
This is not the first time that this processor is named or spotted because the CPU compatibility chart of ASRock already lists a Ryzen 5 2600E and Ryzen 7 2700E as well as the Ryzen 3 2300X and Ryzen 5 2500X SKUS. This leak already indicates a TDP of 45W. I say lists, as ASRock always shows the 2600E and 2700E information on their website here, including this TDP.
- Ryzen 5 2600E: 3.1GHz base clock, 45W, 3MB L2 cache
- Ryzen 7 2700E: 2.8GHz base clock, 45W, 4MB L2 cache
We can now add to that a new result 3DMark system information that shows the Ryzen 7 2700E to be confirmed to be an eight activated SMT processor (hyperthreading) at a basic clock frequency of 2.8 GHz. The turbos, however, remain a bit of a mystery. AMD has not announced any of these parts for the moment, they could end up as OEM products or eventually as PCs and small devices.
