The production of the first race of Aston Martin begins next year in Wales

Aston Martin announced the launch of its first crossover in 2019. The installation of the premium giant will be organized in a new factory in Wales. 750 jobs will be created at the factory, 150 of which are already occupied.

According to unofficial data, the first crossover of Aston Martin will be called Varekai. The high-end vehicle will be a serial version of the DBX concept presented in spring 2015 at the Geneva Motor Show

. The production version, marked by the two-door prototype, will feature a four-door coupe. The new Aston Martin Varekai will compete with the Lamborghini Urus, Maserati Levante, Bentley Bentayga and Porsche Cayenne

All the technical features of the car are kept secret. According to unofficial data, the basic version of the British SUV will receive a four-liter V8 twin-turbo engine with approximately 600 horsepower produced by Mercedes-AMG. The higher variant will have a 5.2-liter V12 engine with two turbines and 750 horsepower. It is not excluded that the Aston Martin Varekai range be completed by a hybrid and fully electric modification
