The Xbox One Sport Series Begins with a Stylish White Controller

For console players, special edition controllers are not lacking. This is especially true for Xbox One, which, in addition to the usual limited-edition pricing, offers players the ability to create and customize controllers through Xbox Design Labs. Microsoft has a new special edition controller to add to the stack today, and this one is particularly stylish.

This new controller gives the kickoff of the new Xbox One Sport series. Officially nicknamed the "Xbox Wireless Controller – Sport White Special Edition" (which is quite the name), this new controller does not really have a lot of colors. In fact, it is almost all white, with the exception of a few dots of color near the face buttons and some mint, gray and silver accents.

Microsoft says that this new controller was inspired by "athletic and sports lifestyle trends", which could explain the triangle mesh decals we see on the handles. Around back, Microsoft has installed a rubberized diamond grip to prevent the controller from slipping, so it's not just a basic Xbox One controller with a different color scheme.

Beside the new Gear controller launches a corresponding Xbox Pro charging stand. This, like other changing stands that you have probably come across over the years, comes with a rechargeable battery that you slot on the back of your controller instead of a pair of AA batteries. The stand will cost $ 49.99, which is not too bad that it means you will never have to buy batteries again.

The Sport White Controller will be launched first at Microsoft Stores and select retailers in the United States and Canada on July 31st. This will cost you $ 69.99, $ 10 more than the standard Xbox One wireless controller, although it comes with 14-day tests on Xbox Live Gold and Xbox Game Pbad. The controller will then be launched around the world on August 7th, the same day that the badociated loading booth will be launched in North America.
