The national reference laboratory proved that it was a third case of H1N1 flu, pandemic or pork, said Professor Todor Kantardzhiev, director of the National Center for Contagious and Parasitic Diseases , quoted by Focus. The case concerns a 10-year-old child who was admitted to a Sofia hospital.
Yesterday, the first two cases of influenza – the mother and her child with the so-called swine flu – were confirmed. Their condition improves.
It is still too early to tell if the so-called swine flu will dominate this winter. The epidemic is expected to affect the country in January or early February.
According to calculations, it is badumed that each year between 200,000 and 1.5 million people are sick. For about 2,000 of them, the average disease is deadly.
