The battery is located in the ground and is protected by carbon fiber and kevlar plates. The R1T equipment includes an adaptive air suspension, a digital dashboard and an infotainment system with a touch screen.
The electric van will be produced at the former Mitsubishi Motors plant in Illinois, purchased by Rivian Automotive last year for $ 16 million.
