The White House is considering an option to end General Motors (GM) subsidies, warned US President Donald Trump, quoted by Reuters.
According to him, the abolition of state aid to the auto sector stems from the company's decision to reduce the production of five plants in North America and leave thousands of unemployed people.
"The United States has saved the GM and that's how they repay us!" Said Trump, whose anger had been provoked by the group's projects.
"I am very disappointed with them," added the US president.
After the announcement of GM, Trump shares fell by 2.4%.
On Monday, the automaker announced plans to cut 15% of its employees to save $ 6 billion by the end of 2020.
White House spokeswoman Sarah Sanders told reporters that the president was considering various options to remove subsidies.
