With a game to play, the result jeopardizes Bayern's chances of playing with Borussia Dortmund in second place, while Leipzig remains third.
However, the win against Werder Bremen on the last day of the season will end a seventh consecutive title.

Borussia Dortmund trimmed Bayern Munich's lead at the top of the table with a 3-2 win over a Dusseldorf ten.
The hosts were ahead on 41 minutes with Christian Pulisic, but Düsseldorf responded earlier in the second half thanks to Olivier Fink.
Thomas Delaney put the hosts ahead with 53 minutes, but the photo session ensued, Mario Gotze grabbing the winner in overtime and Dawid Kownacki the consolation a few seconds later.
Adam Bodzek received a sidelock after 82 minutes, following an unlucky move in the middle of the park.
