The “ Deep Stone Crypt Raid ” jacket
Another expansion, another Destiny 2 raid.
Although I retired from the excitement a little again destiny raids in recent weeks for multiple reasons, Bungie still does its “first world events” focused on streamers; the next one of which will start at 10am PT on Saturday. At that time, the first major raid (Deep Stone Crypt) of the Beyond the light era opens.
We’ll find out who wins each time the first raid is over on Twitter, with a congratulatory message scheduled for Monday. For Destiny 2, it took from less than an hour to 19 hours after launch. As usual, the first six-person team to complete it will earn their first wrestling belt title in the world, while anyone who finishes it in Contest mode before 10am PT on November 22 will receive a unique “first-ish” emblem.
The real prize (and by that I mean a real-life item) is a “Bungie Deep Stone Crypt Raid Jacket,” which you can purchase if you complete it before 9am PT on December 1: a much more reasonable time frame for people who have work or family obligations on weekends. Just be aware that for the jacket you must also claim your reward code by 9am PT on December 31st and then purchase it before the end of the day.
Good luck! Even if I was ready for the raid, I probably wouldn’t go for a quick release on a weekend.
