“Seven years of Destiny have brought us here.”
Bungie posted a teasing video showing a glimpse of a long-awaited villain, ahead of its big Destiny 2 Showcase event tomorrow.
The developer has stepped up the flow of disclosures, saying it will reveal “what lies ahead” for the game and that “seven years of Destiny has brought us here.”
Tomorrow’s video comes out at 5 p.m. UK time, shortly before Destiny 2’s Season of the Lost goes live. We await details on this season, and more on the delayed Witch game expansion. Queen scheduled for early 2022.
This is our first look at Savathûn, which doesn’t need to be introduced to Destiny fans. For everyone else, well, this deliciously gruesome-looking Big Bad has been lurking in the shadows of Destiny since pretty much day one.
Of course, there is more than one queen in Destiny. The franchise’s OG royalty, Mara Sov, is also set to make its long-awaited reappearance, Bungie revealed last week:
The Queen returns in Season of the Lost.
