Bus crash in the Grand Canyon: at least one killed, dozens injured

The bus, run by a Las Vegas-based company, was carrying 48 people, including the driver, to Grand Canyon West when it rolled into and landed on its side near milepost 5 on Diamond Bar Road, the MCSO said in a statement. .

Two passengers were seriously injured and taken to nearby hospitals, seven were taken to Kingman Regional Medical Center with less serious injuries and 33 occupants were taken with minor injuries, the sheriff’s office said.

The Central and Northern Arizona section of the Red Cross is currently monitoring the situation, according to a tweet from the organization.

The MCSO said the crash investigation was ongoing and the identities of those killed and injured had not yet been released.
