The fire of 2018 is produced in an Amazon warehouse.
As a result of Walmart's lawsuit against Tesla as a result of suspected solar system fires, Amazon has confirmed a similar event in a California factory.
The online sales giant told Bloomberg that Tesla's SolarCity had installed the solar panels in a warehouse in Redlands, California, which was set on fire in June 2018.
The Walmart lawsuit argues that the failed facility probably caused fires over half a dozen stores. Tesla had placed solar panels on more than 200 stores across the country.
Following the prosecution report, Walmart and Tesla issued a joint statement in which they were involved in discussions to find a solution to the problems.
"Both companies want every system to operate reliably, efficiently and safely," said the two companies.
Tesla apparently countered Walmart's allegation that unskilled technicians had incorrectly installed the connector, claiming that one type of connector from Amphenol had suffered "failures and disconnections" at a rate unacceptable, although it is still unclear whether the suspect connectors were used at Walmart and Amazon locations and the possible role of failures in fires.
Amphenol issued a statement stating that "we have no reason to believe" that its solar connectors are the cause of the Walmart fires. The components are deemed to meet industry specifications and are certified by the UL Independent Test Service.
