The Los Angeles Rams' attack was an almost impossible stop for the 2018 NFL season.
The Rams placed second in the NFL in total offense and points per game in the regular season, third in rushing yards per game and fifth in terms of assists per game. Most needed by Jared Goff and company, the unit struggled to do just about anything.
L.A was limited to 291 yards and three points in his Super Bowl LIII loss to the New England Patriots. Although the Rams attack was not an important factor, the quick match was even worse, as Todd Gurley and C.J. Anderson were limited to a total of 57 (!) Yards on the ground.
When he appeared on FOX Sports 1's "Undisputed" on Tuesday, Anderson explained how the Patriots' defense could succeed and "frustrate" the Rams in the process.
The defense of New England really kept its best performance for the end. The unit sometimes struggled during the season to put an end to the great games that, as Anderson noted, were the daily bread of Los Angeles throughout the campaign. But with the Lombardi Trophy in sight, the Patriots only gave up one game at 20 yards at the Mercedes-Benz stadium.
So, while Sean McVay is a budding offensive brain, the Rams' head coach was no match for defense guru Bill Belichick.
