Rutgers statement:
C. Vivian Stringer will miss the rest of the regular season and the Big Ten tournament for health reasons, which should come back after the tournament of the conference
Coach Timothy Eatman will assume the role of head coach of the Rutgers Women's Basketball Program for head coach C. Vivian Stringer, who is expected to be sidelined after the Big Ten tournament.
"As you can imagine, that was not an easy decision, but in consultation with my doctors, it's in my best interest to waste time getting healthy again before getting back into the routine." coaches, "said Stringer. Coach Eatman has served as Interim Head Coach for three games following the illness and death of Stringer's mother Thelma Stoner in 2016.
The Rutgers women's basketball team will have three other regular season competitions, including home contests against Wisconsin on Monday, February 25 and Minnesota on Thursday, Feb. 28. The regular season ends Sunday, March 3 at Ohio State. The Scarlet Knights are 18-8 in total and 10-5 in the Big Ten and currently occupy third place in the league standings.
