Cable cutters need to re-scan their antennas today, as nearly 1,000 live TV channels are being transferred

If you use an antenna to watch live TV for free, you will probably need to do a new analysis because nearly 1,000 live television stations change frequency to make room for the 5G Internet. You can check on Antenna Web to find out which channels will be moved in your area.

Note: New analysis of some channels in areas affected by Hurricane Dorian will be delayed until September 11th.

A few years ago, the FCC auctioned premises, forcing many channels to change channel numbers. This auction has freed up space for things like 5G. The time has come for many local TV stations to change channel numbers. From now on and over the next year or so, 1,000 television channels will change channels and many will do so this fall, which means you will have to reanalyze your antenna to stay up to date. If this is not the case, you may notice that some channels disappear until you analyze again.

The call center is open from 08:00 to 01:00. 00:00 Eastern time, seven days a week, so that consumers from all over the country can get help during the evening and weekend hours.

You never know, you can find new free live TV channels. It was not so long ago that I watched my TV again and found two new channels: Laff and Comet, which gave me access to some great comedy and science fiction content I had been missing since some time.
