OWINGS MILLS, Maryland – Calais Campbell was sent off for the Baltimore Ravens game on Sunday night in New England, coach John Harbaugh said on Friday. This ends the second longest current streak in the NFL for defensive purposes.

Campbell, who injured his calf last Sunday, will miss his first game since 2014. His streak of 98 straight starts was only behind Cameron Jordan (137).

Acquired in a trade with Jacksonville this offseason, Campbell leads Baltimore with four sacks and is tied for the team lead with five tackles for a loss.

“Losing a guy like Calais … it sucks, because he’s one of the greatest players of all time on the defensive line, and his leadership is second to none,” Ravens defensive end Derek said. Wolfe. “He’s the ultimate professional. I think I have to get up.”

Running back Mark Ingram, who missed the last two games with an ankle injury, returned to training on Friday. Ingram was restricted in practice on Wednesday before sitting down on Thursday.

Cornerback Jimmy Smith (ankle) hasn’t trained all week.
