Chicago authorities have announced the arrest of a Californian man who they say lived inside O’Hare International Airport for three months because he was afraid of flying due to transmission fears of COVID-19, according to a report.

The Chicago Tribune reported that Aditya Singh has been accused of living inside the airport security zone since arriving in October. He was charged with criminal trespassing, according to the report.

The judge in the case appeared baffled during a court hearing on Sunday and asked how a person could live inside such a major airport for such a long time. Prosecutors said Singh was discovered by United Airlines employees and allegedly had an ID card lost by an airport employee.
