Another young life unfortunately left too soon. According to several media and police, rapper Indian Red Boy, 21, was shot dead Thursday, July 8 while inside his car. As we speak, there are several videos circulating the internet that show the late-today man talking to a friend on Instagram Live at the time and then getting shot while still standing in front of the camera.
According to Lieutenant Ti Goetz of the Hawthorne Police Department, authorities were called to Block 14100 Chadron Avenue at around 4:10 p.m. local time. CBS Los Angeles has also confirmed this. The Los Angeles County Fire Department added that the gunshot man was even pronounced dead at the scene. Goetz later revealed that the coroner’s office had identified the deceased shooting victim as the rapper, real name Zerail Dijon Rivera.
“It appears to have been a walk-in shootout and he appears to have been targeted,” Goetz said before adding that he “appears to be a member of a gang.” Authorities are still looking for the suspect (s) who pulled the trigger.
As we mentioned earlier, there is video footage of the filming in progress. However, we won’t be sharing that here. CBS Los Angeles did, however, capture video of Rivera’s family at the scene and understandably upset by this tragic ordeal.
On his IG page, many left their condolences at the end of 21 years. Whether it’s commenting on RIPs under her photos, others posting tributes on their own personal accounts, or even a number of tweets showing love, there are plenty of posts saying goodbye to her.
The person Rivera was with on IG Live when he was shot and killed, whose IG username is kapaalxt8 – which you can see if you watch the video for yourself – also paid tribute to his friend. Posting a video of Rivera as well as another post which is a photo of them, kapaalxt8 said: “LLINDIANREDD. I LOVE YOU GANKG” in both posts. See those below.
