He’s definitely got some gambling – it just took him a day and a half.

A man from California was so determined to snag one of this year’s hot holiday gadgets – a PlayStation 5 – that he stood outside a GameStop for 36 hours to be first on the line when the store opened on Black Friday.

Player Tyler Lopez, 20, began his vigil in Dublin, Calif. On Wednesday at 8 p.m., and told local ABC affiliate it was “really relieving” to finally get his hands on a console.

“The console itself was good enough already, but now I know about the news. Even better! ”He joked, holding onto the PS5 firmly.

Dublin Police have even treated devoted buyers of donuts and hot chocolate.

“It was above and beyond,” Tyler’s father Rodney said. “We were pretty cold and pretty tired at the time, but it was really nice of them to do it.

The store, about 30 minutes north of San Jose, sold its two PS5s and four Xboxes in no time, including to a buyer who expected to make a profit by reselling one of the Xboxes online.
