A Californian woman had to be treated urgently and underwent surgery after removing her engagement ring and swallowing it in her sleep.

Jenna Evans, 29, dreamed last Wednesday that she and her fiancé, Bob Howell, were on a high-speed train, chased by "bad guys", when she swallowed the ring for protect him from the bad guys, according to a Facebook poster report.

Unfortunately, Evans was sleeping at that time and swallowed the 2.4-carat diamond ring with a glass of water. "I removed that sucker, I put it in my mouth and I swallowed it with a glass of water just above the moment I realized it I was doing, "she recalls.

When she discovered that the ring was gone the next morning, Evans was moved. "I do not think he believed me right now," recounted his response to Howell. "We laughed a lot for about an hour and a half," then we realized that they had to go to the hospital. "It took a while to recover from laughter and understand what we needed to do."

"I went to see emergency where I had trouble explaining why I was here because I was laughing / crying so loud," Evans said. A stunned doctor confirmed by an x-ray that the ring was inside Evans. He said, "At that moment, I could really feel it in my guts, it really started to hurt and make us nervous."

Deciding that it would be unwise to "let nature take its course", a gastroenterologist decided to remove the ring with a superior endoscopy, for which Evans had to sign authorization forms in case of deceased. "Then I cried a lot because I would be so crazy if I died," she writes.

The procedure has however proceeded wonderfully and Evans' trials have since exploded in popularity. "I did not know either that it would become viral – be nice to please, I did not do it on purpose and I do not try to change the world here, I just share a fun story and hope for a good belly laugh.
