A Californian was found last week with several firearms, drugs and homemade bombs, bullets marked “Cop Killer” and a manifesto saying he wanted to “wipe out” blacks, Hispanics and people. Jews, authorities said Thursday.
Wesley Charles Martines, 32, of Los Gatos, was found by Campbell Police on July 9 while prowling outside a business when he was arrested. He was sentenced on Tuesday to $ 300,000 bail, the Santa Clara County District Attorney’s Office said.
A business owner called police around midnight after seeing a man on security video walking down East Sunny Oaks Avenue looking into cars and a storage shed. When the officers arrived, they arrested Martines, who was driving a truck.
Inside the vehicle, they found a 9mm Glock. handgun and two AR-type rifles, which are illegal in California, prosecutors said. Ammunition bearing the inscriptions “Cop Killer”, “A Good Start” and “To a Grim Reaper’s Widow,” authorities also said.
Martines was also said to have had bulletproof vests, heroin, methamphetamine and a homemade bomb filled with pellets but no explosive material inside.

A newspaper he allegedly owned contained racist and anti-Semitic writings and warned against plans to go to a sporting goods store, dress up as an employee and tie up everyone inside.
The Santa Clara County Sheriff’s Office bomb squad assisted authorities. Campbell police have obtained a gun violence restraining order to seize the weapons.
