Downey, California – A car chase in the Los Angeles area ended after a shooting between a passenger and agents in pursuit.
Authorities continued the Toyota Prius Friday afternoon. The car accelerated in traffic and at one point a man leaned out of the passenger window and fired at the pursuers.
The car finally stopped at Downey, a suburb of Los Angeles, where the driver, who had blood on her shirt, surrendered.
However, the passenger stays in the car. It is not known whether he was shot, because the police did not approach the car.
There was no immediate report on the beginning of the lawsuit.
