Call Of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Adds New Maps Of Miami, Cuba And Golova This Week

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War changes things up this week with a new take on the existing Miami map to respond to player feedback. However, he’s also getting a few new cards that should help shake up the game even more.

As announced by developer Treyarch on Twitter, the new version of Miami has a “close-quarters” layout and was designed as a 6v6 map. In addition, this map takes place during the day, instead of at night like the first version.

To give players the best possible chance to play on the map, Treyarch is creating a 24/7 playlist for Miami Strike when the map releases next week.

The original Miami map was criticized by players for being too dark, making it difficult to track enemies. The map is also very large, so matches are often cut off by time instead of kill count. It just isn’t a very fun experience to scour the map for enemies.

It looks like Treyarch has listened to the comments and is responding with a new version of Miami. As you can see in the video above, the total size of playable spaces has been reduced which should lead to faster engagements. Other new elements appear to have been added to the Miami Strike version as well.

The Cuban map, on the other hand, appears to be based on a level near the end of the main campaign. it’s more vertical than some of the others in the game, and it has large spaces for snipers to do damage.

Another new card, Golova, will also debut next week. This is one of the biggest maps in Black Ops Cold War, and it will support the new 40-player Hardpoint mode. Here is a teaser:

It’s unclear exactly when Miami Strike, Mansion, or Golova will be added to Black Ops Cold War, but Treyarch has announced that a mid-season update will arrive next week, so it may be included.
