A new update is available in Cold War!

Treyarch has released a new patch update – Version 1.06 – which is now available on all platforms.

Weapons

There have been big changes in a range of weapons at all levels over the Cold War, including the FFAR, M16, and ALL sniper rifles in the game.

Here are the main breakdowns.

ALL sniper rifles

  • Sprint times to shoot have been adjusted due to interruptions allowed by animation systems.
  • Adjusted movement speed impact when firing to make each hit more powerful.
  • Barrel accessories have been fine-tuned to improve idle swing providing a unique feel to every sniper.

Assault rifles

FFAR1

  • Increased recoil
  • Max damage reduced by 3.5%
  • Maximum damage range reduced by 34%

Submachine guns

SMG Alpha

  • Base effective damage range reduced by 33%
  • Changed bullet trajectories

Tactical rifles

M16

  • Maximum damage range reduced by 15%
  • Increased sprint time to shoot
  • Speed ​​while firing at idle
  • The delay between bursts has increased
  • Rebalanced Rate of Fire Bonuses on Barrel Accessories
  • Reduced efficiency of laser accessories

Charlie Tactical Rifle

Game modes

There have been a few small changes to the game modes with a number of issues being addressed,

Hardcore

  • Friendly fire system now transforms correctly to reflect damage after 3 team kills

Search and destroy

  • Fixed an issue where bomb defusing could take longer than 7.5 seconds.

Free for all

  • Adjusted several starting spawns that allowed players to have line of sight to another player before the start of the match.

CDL Hardpoint

  • Fixed an issue that resulted in players spawning outside the intended play space when playing CDL Hardpoint in Custom Games.

Combined weapons

  • Improved interaction when using Stationary Turrets in Combination Weapons.

Appears

  • Adjusted various spawns in multiplayer game modes that could cause the player to spawn above ground.

Custom games

  • Added Scorestreak cost overrides to custom games.

Zombies

There have been some key changes to the zombie realm of the Cold War.

From gameplay to stability to bug fixes, there is a lot to note.

Gameplay

  • Improved general zombie path.
  • Enemies will now use their out of bounds attacks against players in more unforeseen locations.
  • Closed various exploitable locations where the player could leave the intended play area.

Stability

  • Fixed a crash that could occur when Perks did not properly match the player’s upgraded skills.
  • Fixed a crash that could occur when taking Perk Cans.
  • Added various stability fixes.

Bug fixes

  • Benefits
    • Fixed an issue that allowed multiple versions of the same perk to be obtained.
    • Addressed an issue that prevented the Elemental Pop Perk from being purchased on one side of the machine.
  • Field upgrades
    • Fixed an issue where the Level III Aether Shroud could sometimes place the player under the ground.
  • Weapons
    • Fixed an issue that prevented attachments from applying to some weapons.
    • Fixed an issue that caused some weapons, such as the Ray Gun, to be lost when reactivating.
    • Fixed an issue where the rarity of the stand would display as the same rarity as the player’s weapon instead of the rarity it was on the ground.
    • Addresses an issue that prevented Set Showcase Weapon from working correctly in Create-a-Class.
  • Progression
    • Fixed an issue where the incorrect icon was displayed when reaching Prestige 1.
    • Fixed an issue that resulted in Weapon EXP being earned on weapons used by teammates.
    • Addressed an issue that allowed players to mistakenly progress to Dark Ops challenges when joining a match in progress.
    • Fixed an issue that caused several inaccurate XP notifications to appear at the end of a Co-op match.
  • SKIN
    • Addressed an issue that caused the player’s health bar on the HUD to incorrectly display as empty on death under specific circumstances.
    • Fixed an issue where only two of the remaining player names were visible after one of the four players abandoned the match.
    • Fixed an issue that caused incorrect player colors to appear on the HUD after death.
  • Visuals
    • Fixed an issue that caused enemy models to sometimes appear poor quality.
    • Fixed an issue that caused the Aether Shroud visual effects to continuously play after the spectator
  • Booty
    • Fixed an issue that sometimes prevented items from being obtained.
  • Host migration
    • Addressed various issues that sometimes caused host migration to fail.
    • Fixed an issue that resulted in players receiving a UI error when attempting to open their dashboard while migrating hosts.
  • Gunsmith
    • Addressed an issue that resulted in loss of functionality using the Gunsmith menu at the start of a match.
  • Mystery box
    • Fixed an issue that prevented the weapon name from appearing correctly after using the Mystery Box.
    • Addressed a rare issue that prevented the Mystery Box from staying open after use.
  • Equipment
    • Addressed an issue that sometimes prevented the Decoy from being disabled when thrown out of play space.
  • Sensitivity
    • Fixed an issue that caused the player’s controller sensitivity to be affected by fear of jumping.
  • Dead Ops Arcade 3
    • Addressed an issue where Arcade Machine pickup could cause game progress to be interrupted.
    • Fixed an issue that caused enemies to spawn on top of players.
    • Fixed an issue where the player would see the placeholder text before playing the opening cutscene.
  • Assault
    • Fixed an issue where “Die Maschine” cheats could appear when loading into an Onslaught match
