Call of Duty: Black Ops Reveals Date of Cold War

[ad_1]

Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War has finally dropped its teaser, sparking much speculation. The teaser didn’t show any play footage or details. So, for those who were disappointed, you can get a good look at the game on August 26, 2020.

The studio teased the title for days. The wait finally ended today with the reveal of the teaser, although it is hardly seen as such.

Reveal is coming sooner than we thought

The promotional poster art doesn’t reveal much. An American soldier on one side and a Soviet soldier on the other. A clear nod to the game’s plot, but we’re ready for more details in just six days.

Before the big reveal, Activision decided to spend some time polishing their craft. They simultaneously sent mystery boxes to certain players and influencers. It turned out to be kind of a chase, as they had to overcome several challenges and decode the cryptic information.

The clues led them to the old Black Ops 4 which redirected them to a website. The website then revealed that it would reveal 5 different clues on 5 different days.

The last clue led them to the YouTube link for the game’s trailer. However, it was billed as bizarre as it did not contain any in-game footage, but just a hint of backdrop and scenery.

What to expect from the Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War reveal?

A major highlight of the trailer was the take of “Persues”; a code name for an individual who was to infiltrate the US government. The central plot could be pretty much the same, and it should look pretty appealing at first glance.

On the other hand, Tom Henderson had information to share on Twitter. He has stated that the Cold War Zombie reveal will come at a later date than the main title. The news isn’t particularly new, but many would have expected to see a glimpse of it in the coming days.

Not everyone was happy with the teaser and one of the main reasons for that was the leaks that had already been around online. Those who spent a lot of time figuring out the challenges ended up with the same news that most people already knew.

More crucial information about the upcoming game could drop in Warzone, Call of Duty’s great battle royale. Unless the studio suddenly changes its mind, we’ll have a reveal in Verdansk soon as well.
