Call of Duty League Power Rankings: Preseason 2021

The start of the second season of the Call of Duty The league is fast approaching, which means it’s time to take a look at the 12 franchises heading to the pro. Cold War Black Ops action.

I contacted professional players and coaches over the weekend to get their power rankings for each team before the start of the 2021 season. However, votes for a player’s or coach’s own team do not are not counted in this classification.

1) Dallas Empire

  • Classic kick-off match: 3-0 victory over the New York Subliners

There was no doubt in anyone’s mind that this team could become Cold War and continue to dominate. Huke, Shotzzy and iLLeY each seemed to be the best player on the team at one point or another. And with Crimsix leading the pack, this team shows no signs of slowing down anytime soon.

2) Atlanta FaZe

  • Start list: Simp, Cellium, Arcitys and aBeZy
  • Supervisors: Crowder, RJ and EasyMac
  • Replace: One and the other
  • Classic kick-off match: 3-2 loss to Florida Mutineers

From top to bottom, this whole list includes some of the most talented players in the league. Every player is able to drop huge numbers on any card at any time and they also have the coaching talent of Crowder, RJ and EasyMac behind them. There is no way this team is outside the top three this year.

3) OpTic Chicago

  • Classic kick-off match: 3-0 win over Los Angeles Thieves

Most fans probably aren’t surprised by the top three teams so far. While some may place OpTic a bit higher, I think it’s a fair call for now. Dashy and Envoy both looked great at this game, and since moving to Texas, FormaL has been playing their best since the Infinite war season.

4) Florida Mutineers

  • Classic kick-off match: 3-2 win over Atlanta FaZe

The Mutines started this preseason with Havok as a starter. But after three months of practice, the organization decided to bench him and add the former Halo Neptune player at the starting formation. Neptune has stood out so far and looks like a favorite for Rookie of the Year.

5) Los Angeles thieves

SlasheR, Kenny and TJHaLy started the offseason not knowing what their future might hold for them, but Nadeshot finally answered the call and acquired the CDL spot from OpTic Gaming Los Angeles. The team was then renamed Los Angeles Thieves and they got Temp as fourth. This training has seemed difficult at times, but any team with SlasheR tends to start slower than it should. Expect improvements from this list over the year.

6) Minnesota RØKKR

  • Tournament Kickoff Match: 3-2 win over Toronto Ultra

RØKKR wiped out their entire roster during the offseason and locked up four top players in Attach, Accuracy, Priestahh and MajorManiak. The team has looked solid on canvas so far and proved it with a 3-2 win over the Toronto Ultra in the Launch Classic last month.

7) Toronto Ultra

  • Replace: Insight
  • Tournament Kickoff Match: 3-2 loss to Minnesota RØKKR

The Toronto Ultra finished seventh in the regular season standings last year and placed in the top six in 2020 Call of Duty League Championship. Heading into this season, the organization has decided to stick with four of its players, joining Dallas as the only other team in the league not to add a new face to their starting lineup. But if that team is struggling, Insight, who previously played for Team Singularity, is ready and waiting on the bench.

8) New York Subliners

  • Alternates: HyDra and ZooMaa
  • Classic kick-off match: 3-0 loss to Dallas Empire

Four days before the Launch Classic, ZooMaa announced it will take a step back from the competition Call of Duty due to a persistent injury to the hand. With HyDra stuck in France, the Subliners found themselves with few options for their roster. In the end, the organization called DiamondCon from its academic team. DiamondCon played well, but New York lost 3-0 to the reigning world champions in the Kickoff Classic. With more practice, this team should only get better. If that fails, HyDra could enter the country sooner than you think.

9) Legion of Paris

  • Classic kick-off match: 3-2 win over London Royal Ravens

Paris dropped their entire roster during the offseason and almost spotted enough players to form their own league. But in the end, the Legion got locked into Skrapz, AquA, Classic, and newbie player Fire. The four players individually may not be the most talented in the league, but they all have a point to prove this year. They are the underdogs for this season.

10) London Royal Ravens

  • Listing: Dylan, Seany, Alexx and Parasite
  • Supervisors: Shane and Dominate
  • Alternates: Zer0 and Afro
  • Classic kick-off match: 3-2 defeat against Paris Legion

Unfortunately for Zer0, he was unable to obtain his visa and will be stranded in the UK until further notice. For this reason, Parasite, who has not been in the professional league since Black Ops 4, had his first real opportunity in the new Call of Duty League. Still, to be officially announced, Parasite will make their London debut this weekend against the Seattle Surge.

11) Los Angeles Guerrillas

Apathy manifested itself during the Guerrillas’ Kickoff Classic game, dropping a 1.22 K / D – the eighth-highest K / D of the weekend. The guerrillas hope to replicate the 2018 success of Assault, Silly and Apathy where they won the Call of Duty World Championship in the Second World War. But they have a long way to go before they become a serious contender in this league.

12) Seattle Surge

  • Classic kick-off match: Loss 3-2 to Los Angeles Guerrillas

The talent is there, but again, the Seattle Surges have struggled as the 2021 season approaches. They still have a lot of work to do before they can move up those rankings – and luckily the season has failed. not started yet. But they will have to figure it out before it is too late.
