Developer Infinity Ward and publisher Activision have announced the launch of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, the 2019 Call of Duty game. Yes, it's the reboot of the classic Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare 2007 (as we said), do not a remaster, a prequel, a remake or a suite of Modern Warfare.

What is the call of duty: restart of modern war?

The new game Call of Duty: Modern Warfare will feature characters such as Captain Price in a new "ripped headlines" campaign. It will also include a suite of PvP multiplayer modes, as is the tradition of the series, as well as a "brand new cooperative game mode, including a set of cooperative strategic missions." The original Call of Duty 4: The Modern War (2007) had already received a remastering in the title Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered (2016). Again, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare (2019) is a completely different new game, albeit with the same title. Here are the three different games:

  • Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare (2007) – The original.
  • Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered (2016) – Remastering.
  • Call of Duty: Modern Warfare (2019) – The Restart.

What is Call of Duty: Release Date of Modern Warfare?

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare will be available from October 25th. Activision has confirmed that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare will feature a cross game, that it will not have a season pass and that it is developed in a brand new engine. Will there be a call of duty: a seasonal laissez-passer for modern warfare?

It should be noted that the new version of Modern Warfare will not include a traditional season pass. Thus, as Activision notes, "the team can provide more cards and free content as well as post-launch events to all players." Cross-play is also supported: "With the launch of Modern Warfare, the team is taking steps to unite the community," added Activision. "First and foremost, the team anticipates that Modern Warfare will be played together on a computer and on a console with cross-play support." The PC version will be "fully optimized" for PC and available via Battle.net from Blizzard.

Infinity Ward was shaken by the scandal and lawsuit in 2010 when studio heads and co-founders, Vince Zampella and Jason West, were fired by Activision for breach of contract. They sued Activision for unpaid royalties and finally settled before founding a new studio, Respawn Entertainment, also in 2010, and hiring a number of their former Infinity Ward colleagues. Today, a number of original Modern Warfare developers are back at Infinity Ward and are working on this new Modern Warfare, including Artistic Director Joel Emslie, Animation Director Mark Grigsby and Stephen Audio Director. Miller, among others. The project is led by Jacob Minkoff and Taylor Kurosaki, both of Naughty Dog. Since the reshuffle, Infinity Ward has developed Call of Duty: Modern War 3, Call of Duty: The Ghosts and Call of Duty: The Infinite War.
