A Call of Duty: Vanguard PlayStation Alpha has been announced from August 27-29.
The alpha was announced yesterday (August 22) via a brief trailer that teased a brand new Champions Hill multiplayer.
Every PS4 and PS5 player will have access to the Limited Alpha from August 27 at 10 a.m. PT / 1 p.m. ET / 5 p.m. BST at the same times on August 29, giving them the chance to be the first to play the new Call of Duty, which we revealed more information in our preview of Call of Duty: Vanguard.
The new mode builds on the foundations of Modern Warfare’s Gunfight by focusing on small-scale multiplayer matches – the alpha will support both 2v2 and 3v3 games – and introducing a round robin-style tournament on a map. divided into several sections. Your goal will be, as always, to eliminate your opposition, but killing here will earn you money which you can spend on upgrading your weapons and equipment.
More details on the alpha were revealed on the Call of Duty blog, which revealed that the new mode will focus on destructible environments. It reads: “You can expect – and are encouraged – to explore responsive environments across the four maps of Champion Hill, breaking down barriers, doors, and other destructible obstacles to create new lines of sight or surprise a potential camper. ”
For now though, we only have a week to wait to find out how Champions Hill mixes up the COD formula.
Call of Duty: Vanguard release will also see an all-new Call of Duty: Anti-Cheat Warzone system released.
