In a clear warning to Call of Duty Warzone cheaters, Activision shared a video of a player’s stunned reaction to being banned from the hardware for their crimes.
“This is not an exercise: if you cheat, we come for you,” read a tweet from the official Call of Duty account. “Banwaves are underway, and PC Anti-Cheat is coming to #Warzone later this year.”
The video in the tweet is said to show a real banned cheat from Warzone saying he’s happy Activision is cracking down as it could bring back the content creators who left to cheat. Earlier this year, several high-profile Warzone players left the game to protest ongoing hacking issues that were apparently unresolved by Activision.

“Cheating has always been against the rules of Call of Duty Warzone. We just banned 100,000 cheaters. That’s a lot of pissed off cheaters,” Activision laughs before revealing its public example. “Surprisingly, not this guy.”
Digging in, it turns out that the cheat featured in the video is TikTok user rushman360, who shared his first reaction on the social media platform last week. More recently rushman360 also posted a video adding that they were also banned from Battle.net, presumably for Warzone cheating.
Activision and developer Raven Software recently made anti-cheat measures the heart of their messaging around the game. At the Call of Duty: Vanguard reveal event, which will inspire a new Warzone map, Sledgehammer’s studio director Games, Aaron Halen, revealed that a “whole new anti-cheat system” is heading to Warzone with its Vanguard integration.
