Call of Duty: Warzone’s an upcoming nuclear event has once again leaked. Call of Duty: Cold War Black Ops Season 1 is fast approaching and a new leak has been dealt with COD fans on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S and PC with an appetizer before the main course. The new leak, discovered in the files of Cold War Black Ops, revealed the ‘Nuke Event’ icon, along with an Alcatraz calling card, apparently confirming that the long-awaited and long-talked about nuclear event is still happening in Warzone, and will be used to eventually transition from Royal Free Combat Mode to Modern war at Cold War.

As you may remember, the initial anticipation was that when Cold War Black Ops launched, a nuclear event would be triggered Warzone, bringing with it the transition from Modern war at Cold War. That obviously didn’t happen, but it looks like it’s finally changing. Either that, or Treyarch are fans lagging behind with this icon.

The big question right now is whether or not the event will happen in time for Season 1 of Black Oops Cold War December 10, or sometime after, presumably in 2021. For now, the answer to this question is unclear, as is whether the previously disclosed “Rebirth” mode is related to this event.

At this time, the Season 1 roadmap for Black Ops Cold War does not include any event type, which seems to suggest that if this nuclear event is going to happen, it will be before the game’s first season or after. And here’s where the theories come in, including one from Modern Warzone, which notes that Season 6 of Modern War and Warzone were extended until December 8, two days before Season 1 of Cold War Black Ops and two days before Warzone and Cold War Black Ops are integrated.

Offering the theory interesting, Modern Warzone asks if it is possible for the nuclear weapon to be launched on Verdansk on December 8, making Warzone unplayable for two days until season 1 of Cold War Black Ops spear. If this theory sounds familiar to you, it’s because it’s based on this Fortnite done for chapter 2.

At the moment, it is not clear what is happening. At this point, it’s safe to assume that something with a nuclear explosion is about to happen, and that involves something called Rebirth and the Alcatraz map of Covert operations. However, how all of this will play out and interconnect remains to be seen.
