Cameron Boyce's father went to Instagram Tuesday to pay homage to his dead son.

Five days after the death of the 20-year-old Disney Channel star after succumbing to a seizure, Victor Boyce remembered his son with a heartfelt message in which he shared one of his son's last pictures before his untimely death.

"My son, just hours before he is removed from our lives," wrote the grieving father next to a smiling and candid snapshot of the young actor. "I hope no one will ever feel the agony I feel but no one is immune to the tragedy."

"The outpouring of love and support that our family continues to receive is so beautiful and so appreciated," added Victor. "Thank you all for helping us through our worst possible situation."

A spokesman for the Boyce family told ET Tuesday that the seizure, which led to his death on Saturday, was a consequence of epilepsy and that he had been treated for this disease.

Victor had previously contacted fans and family to express his gratitude for their support and condolences following the tragic death of his family.
