ANAHEIM – With Clint Frazier among the injured in the ankle of the last 10 days, the Yankees' outfield field included infielder Tyler Wade in the last two games.

The Yankees acquired on Thursday the veteran Cameron Maybin from the Indian organization.

Maybin, 32, was playing in Columbus (Triple-A) after being released by the Giants at the end of March. In 14 Triple-A games, Maybin hit .216 with five RBIs.

Maybin has played for nine major league teams since his major league debut against the Yankees as a tiger in 2007.

He is a .254 batter and beat .249 in 129 games against Seattle and Miami last year.

The Yankees lost Aaron Hicks, Aaron Judge, Stanton and Frazier. That leaves Brett Gardner, Mike Tauchman and Wade available for the moment.

It is not known what the Yankees sent to the Indians in return.
