“Can I come and play with you all?”

It was more than a rumor. Apparently, Victor Oladipo was campaigning to join other teams.

According to the Indianapolis Star, Oladipo has told opposing teams three times in games that he wants to join them, ahead of his Pacers teammates. It happened against the Raptors, Heat and Knicks, which only made a tense situation worse.

“Can I come and play with you?” he has been heard said on more than one occasion.

The Knicks are rumored to be interested in trading for the double All-Star, who just suffered a knee injury that limited him to 19 regular-season games last season.

The Post reported that a potential deal could be the Mavericks’ first two round picks in 2021 and 2023, which the Knicks own, Julius Randle and Dennis Smith Jr. or Frank Ntilikina. Oladipo is entering the final year of his $ 85 million contract and is reportedly looking to move on.

The 28-year-old, however, denied this on Instagram, writing, “I’m a Pacer, dawg. I am a Pacer. I can’t control the rumors, man. All those on the internet, I don’t even know where they’re from. I’m just in the background, working on my knee, trying to manage for next year.
