The Ford Mustang is an icon of drag racing with a multitude of backing companies to build the perfect racing car. The Ford Mustang in this video is a 2015 S550 GT with a 6-speed automatic transmission and a 5.0-liter V8. In Mustang fashion, this pony car is far from being in stock. For starters, it has a set of slicks at the rear for better performance on the track and increased grip. The 5.0-liter V8 is powered by a supercharger with a claimed output of 735 horsepower (548 kilowatts), about 300 more than the stock.
If Fords aren’t your thing, maybe you like dubious styled BMWs? The new BMW M3 Competition G80 is one of the most impressive 4-door ever built. Power comes from a 3.0-liter twin-turbo inline-six that produces 510 horsepower (380 kilowatts). This ridiculous inline 6-cylinder is mated to a ZF 8-speed automatic transmission that sends power to the rear wheels. The M3 Competition features launch control as well as a range of performance enhancing electronic aids to achieve the best possible performance with the boosted straight-6.
Everyone loves the R34 Nissan GTR. This timelessly designed masterpiece is considered one of the most collectible Japanese cars ever made and a turning point in sports car design. In its early days, the R34 Nissan GTR was one of the first cars to use computers and technology to make a car faster. The R34 GTR is powered by the legendary RB26DETT which can handle a huge amount of boost. This particular example has around 750 horsepower (559 kilowatts), making it a powerful drag racing machine.
