The coronavirus pandemic is still here, as cases across the country continue to rise, leading to hospitalizations and deaths among most of the unvaccinated, according to health officials.

So what can unvaccinated people do to stay safe from the novel coronavirus?

Where you shouldn’t go if you are unvaccinated people

Dr Jonathan Reiner, professor of medicine and surgery at George Washington University, recently told CNN that unvaccinated people should seek to avoid high-traffic public spaces, such as restaurants and bars.

  • “What I would say bluntly is, if you’re not vaccinated right now in the United States, you shouldn’t go to a bar, you probably shouldn’t be eating in a restaurant. You are at great risk of getting infected, ”Reiner told CNN.

Unvaccinated people can also stay safe from the coronavirus by getting vaccinated against COVID-19.

Should unvaccinated people be worried about the delta variant?

Unvaccinated people are at risk for the new delta variant strain of the coronavirus, experts said. In fact, Ohio’s top medical experts have warned that unvaccinated people will get infected – it’s only a matter of time.

Bruce Vanderhoff, the chief medical officer for the Ohio Department of Health, said people are getting vaccinated or getting COVID-19 at this rate, as I wrote for the Deseret News.

  • “It’s really just a matter of time,” Vanderhoff said, according to The Hill. “This is when, not if, an unvaccinated individual develops COVID-19.”
  • “Either you get vaccinated or you will get COVID-19,” he added.
