But a new outlet for a growing chain of holistic medical companies in northern Colorado seeks to change people's views about the healing power of the big hemp family, with products of Legal Care in the United States
CBDepot will celebrate the beginnings of its new Loveland / Fort Collins location, located at the south end of the city, at 6617 S. College Ave. (intersection of Highway 287 and W. Trilby Avenue), with a grand opening party on July 21st.
As its name indicates, CBDepot specializes in CBD products. Cannabidiol (CBD) is a natural chemical derived from the plant Cannabis sativa, a non-psychoactive extract used in holistic applications ranging from pain relief to soothing anxiety.
Marisa Williams, who runs the other two CBDepot stores in Estes Park and Fort Collins, says she hopes that residents of the Loveland area will visit and discover a range of products that focus on the business. The healing aspect of the plant has long been controversial, as opposed to its recreational effects – those related to THC, the narcotic in marijuana.
That said, product sales at CBDepot are still limited to customers aged 18 and over.
"The CBD does not make you feel bad at all, and everything we sell contains less than 1% THC," she says. "Industrial hemp products can be sold as long as 39, they contain 0.3% THC or less, as part of the national and federal Farm Bill. "
CBDepot's product line is very different from high-THC-only CBD drugs -services only, The company is a spin-off from David Watson's Kind Care of Colorado, which offers traditional and more highly regulated marijuana products near CBDepot.
Specialization in the CBD has provided a new opportunity, and Williams says she hopes customers will come in and see if they can shake off some of the mystery attached to the entire estate.
"We are the largest supplier of CBD products in northern Colorado, and we stock mainem products manufactured by Colorado companies. but we mainly sell their own products, while we try to be inclusive, and we hope to expand, even in other states, because the CBD is legal in all 50 states.
Williams, who has worked in the marijuana industry since 2009, first as an activist and then as a business leader, says CBD products include a range of painkillers and anti-inflammatory drugs. health, with a wide range of products for different options of use.
"CBD is great for pain, inflammation, muscle spasms and even for dealing with anxiety and depression – we ended up with a lot of seniors as clients who used the products for these problems, "she says." We are really focused on education and relief. "
