FortisBC warns its customers that the recent explosion of a gas pipeline in Prince George could reduce natural gas supply up to 50% as winter approaches.
The utility company continues to ask its customers to conserve energy.
"The natural gas system will be put to the test in times of high demand throughout the winter," said a press release Monday.
It's been two weeks since the Enbridge pipeline broke out on October 9, causing a big fireball. A hundred residents of the area were forced to leave their homes.

The cause of the fire remains unknown, but the police have ruled out any criminal activity.
FortisBC Vice President Doug Stout told Black Press Media that the utility has seen a 20% reduction in industrial and residential customers since the breakup.

FortisBC stated that it is working to obtain additional natural gas from other companies.
